The client reached out after a disappointing experience with a previous Google Ads specialist, where the cost per lead reached $500 and the ads generated many irrelevant leads and robo-calls. The main goal was to reduce the cost per lead to $150.

We suggested not limiting ourselves to just Google Search Ads, but also running ads on GLSA (Google Local Service Ads) — a platform specifically designed for local business ads, which is perfect for Home Services.
Our main focus was on plumbing services since this was the client’s priority, while HVAC and electrical services made up about 30-35% of the business.
We structured the ad account around the most relevant search queries. For plumbing services, we created separate ad groups for categories like leak repair, water heater repair, drain cleaning, and more.

Our main focus was on plumbing services since this was the client’s priority, while HVAC and electrical services made up about 30-35% of the business.
We structured the ad account around the most relevant search queries. For plumbing services, we created separate ad groups for categories like leak repair, water heater repair, drain cleaning, and more. We segmented the keywords into groups like “plumber,” “plumber near me,” and “plumber Spartanburg.” This allowed us to show highly relevant ads, increasing the likelihood that users would click on our ads. We also used pinned headlines on specific positions to improve ad performance and increase relevance for each specific search query.
Process
In this project, we focused not only on the cost per lead but also on the number and value of sales. The majority of the calls came through Google Ads, with about a third of the budget allocated to GLSA.
Here are the sales results for the past two months:
October: $9,900 spent, generating $45,700 in revenue.
November: $19,700 spent, generating $53,300 in revenue.
